We’re at Vaarklife!

It’s Vaarklife weekend!  We’re all so excited.  Esther has arrived on site first, and parked up on the hard standing. She’s arranged the table and barbecue, and got the awning out already.

Microvaark, Bernard and Dim have booked Glamping Pods. Dim has booked the double Neopolitan, for him and Matilda. They’re all queueing up to be shown round.

Microvaark is in the Friesian. The shape is… familiar. But it’s got a very comfortable hammock in it, just the right size for him!

Bernard opted for the Ceylon. He feels he’s seen something like it before somewhere. But the hanging basket is a nice touch. He asked Winston if he could have a couple of extra pillows, and Winston was quick to oblige…

So, for Sir and Madame, the Italian romance of The Neopolitan! Dim said, why did it only have a sofa in it? But Winston demonstrated that it was a futon – how contemporary! And Matilda said it was very comfortable.

With everyone settled in. Winston brought round the complementary snacks, and demonstrated the Piece de Resistance – a fairy light canopy. Quite enchanting!

The rest of us are busy putting up our tents and sorting out our luggage.

Fury, of course, is sleeping on a mat on her toolbox as always. She likes to be ready for anything.

As ever, there are lots of places to eat, and do some shopping at Vaarklife. Ofelia set straight to work to fire up the falafel oven.

There are all sorts of tasty treats to sample and things to buy. Dim thinks this might be the year he buys a teeshirt.

And I’m glad to see we have increased the number of portaloos this year, to reduce queueing!

We’re always very excited to look at the stage, where we’ll see so many amazing acts over the weekend!
