Bells feature in lots of Christmas songs and carols, and big bells in churches and soon will be rung to celebrate Christmas. Ernest and Matilda are doing some practice. Whoops, Ernest, remember to let go!

But the most Christmassy bells, we think, are the jingly bells on horse or reindeer harnesses. They were put on to warn people that a sleigh was coming, as a horse drawn sleigh is almost silent in the snow!
