12th December: Ho ho ho!

Ernest holds a little felt figure of Santa

Santa is usually depicted as fat and jolly – we think this might be because of all the mince pies and sherry left out for him!

The name Santa Claus comes from Saint Nicholas, who was a Greek bishop, famed for giving gifts of money to poor children. Ernest has found a little model of him to put on our tree, as the real one is obviously very busy!
